Ballroom Cardio Class
Some of the best exercises are those that both get the heart pumping, and the arms and legs moving, but without a lot of jarring to the joints.

Ballroom Cardio is an excellent low impact physical conditioning. It exercises our bodies to allow for increased circulation and helps burn calories. Improve your health and fitness while improving your stamina.

This class provides a 45 minute workout blending moves from ballroom dance with low impact moves. Each class begins with a warm up followed by cardiovascular work, strength and stretching ending with a cool down.

What will we do in the classes?
For warm up and cardio work: Rumba walks, Samba Walks, Cha Cha walks, Jive kicks, Jazz box, Forward breaks, Swing/Sway, Box Step, Grapevines, 3 step turns, Spot voltas, etc.

For strength/stretching: Lunges, Push planks, Balancing poises, Ad work, Core work, Push ups, etc.

Note: Do not start a physical activity program without first consulting your doctor.

Tools needed:
Hand Towel, Floor Mat or Large Towel, Hula Hoop, Bottled Water
Fitness Shoes (Cross Trainer or Aerobic. No running shoes) or Dance Sneakers (example pictured below)

This Class is organized based Student Sign-Ups.

Class Start 2-2-08
Every Saturday (exceptions due to competition travel) 12:00pm – 12:45pm

Cost Per Class:
$15 per person or $22.50 per couple
